Revere Restructures with Sale of Commercial Products Division to Focus on Recreational Marine, Aviation and Outdoor Markets

Revere Survival Products, a worldwide leader in survival equipment manufacturing, announced Wednesday that the Commercial Marine Division has been sold to the U.K.-based Survitec Group Limited -- another manufacturer of marine safety equipment.
The sale was primarily the result of a decision to center Revere’s business efforts on the recreational marine, aviation and outdoor survival equipment markets.
Revere President Andrew Kaufmann made this statement about the future direction of the company: “We are incredibly excited about this opportunity to strategically expand our business by focusing on the development of exciting and innovative survival products both organically and through acquisitions within the recreational marine, outdoor and aviation markets.”
Revere’s former line of commercial marine products (now Survitec’s) include life rafts, inherently buoyant vests, immersion suits, locator beacons, pyrotechnics and various other safety products.
Revere Survival Products, also known as Revere Supply Inc., has exclusively been a family-owned business beginning in 1936, now on their fourth generation of ownership. The company has routinely celebrated a vast number of awards and honors for their life-saving supplies and equipment. Revere’s distributor base can be found in over 20 US states, as well as countries in Europe, South America, the Caribbean and Asia.
