For Immediate Release:
Revere Acquires Safegard Corporation
Safegard USA has been a staple in the commercial market for many years and has developed such products such as the 198RT wearable type I. Safegard has also had a strong presence in the recreational market with its very broad range of PFD’s and boating accessories and continues to be a strong competitor in this market.
“The Safegard acquisition represents very exciting times for us at Revere”, says Andrew Kaufmann, President of Revere. “Our goal has always been to be the premier supplier of all marine survival products to our extensive customer base, both recreationally and commercially, and the acquisition of one of the premier brands of PFD’s in the market has taken us a giant step forward in realizing this goal”.
“With the acquisition of Safegard, coupled with the very recent acquisition of Imperial International combined with our extensive product offering that includes rafts, inflatable PFD’s, EPIRB’s and PLB’s, and pyrotechnics, Revere has put itself in a very unique position to become that one-stop safety solution for recreational and commercial dealers and distributors alike”, says Jim Cermak, Vice President of Sales.
Revere Survival Products, also known as Revere Supply Inc., has exclusively been a family-owned business beginning in 1936, now on their fourth generation of ownership. The company has routinely celebrated a vast number of awards and honors for their life-saving supplies and equipment. Revere’s distributor base can be found in over 20 US states, as well as countries in Europe, South America, the Caribbean and Asia. |
