Revere Grows Again with Purchase of Essential Gear
April 15, 2011, Jacksonville, FL
Revere Supply Company today announced the acquisition of Essential Gear. Based in Greenfield, MA, Essential Gear supplies eGear and Spotlight brand energy efficient LED lighting, and Windmill high-performance butane lighters to the outdoor specialty and sporting goods markets.
Revere President, Andrew Kaufmann, is enthusiastic about Revere’s newest family member. “Revere is focused on growing our business in the outdoor, aviation and leisure marine markets. We see the eGear brand as a key acquisition that will help us achieve this goal.” In addition to eGear, Revere acquired industry leading Ultimate Survival Technologies brand of fire starters and survival gear in January, and the U-Dig-It folding shovel in March.
Key members of the eGear staff will be joining Revere in strategic sales and marketing endeavors to support the now unified company. All operations will be consolidated to Revere’s Jacksonville, FL, headquarters.
